Active recovery and mobility.
A workout rest day is a great time to help your body to recover with some light activities or work on any other sport related skills. For example go for a walk, a hike or get your friends together for a small ballgame session.
Good quality sleep.
Most of your recovery will take place while you're sleeping. To really maximize performance and progress you should work on the quality of your sleep. Aim for 8 hours, keep your room dark and quiet.
